Powder Brow vs. Microblading

Updated: Dec 24, 2022

What are the differences between Microblading and Ombre Powder Brows? aka. Microblading vs. Microshading.

Microblading is going to give you the immediate gratification of "real hair" looking, while Powder Brow requires a time frame of 2 weeks. However, the advantages of Powder Brows really outweighs Microblading. Read on...

Due to Microblading invasiveness that it can cause micro-scar tissues with going too deep or overdone. It is recommended to only do maximum 2 times on virgin skin. Microblading only shows on skin that has not been done before.

  • Microblading is invasive because it uses slicing / cutting technique to create the lines (aka. strokes)

  • Powdering is less invasive because it uses flicking technique as gazillion micro-dots altogether make to a soft powdery finish.

  • Microblading fades as "lines." Each line gets shorter, having breaks in between, or completely fade.

  • Ombre Powder goes on more even, as layers. Therefore, it fades more even

At MaiLash & Brows, we perform both techniques. By looking at your brows and measuring them, we will be able to recommend the most suitable technique. About 80 - 90% of clients fit into the category of Ombre Powder Brows because it really hold many advantages over the Microblading techniques.
